9:22 - 24 miles to the west, Mt. Lawlor (left) and Strawberry Peak stand as dueling points on the horizon. To their left, San Gabriel Peak and Mt. Disappointment peek out over the ridge.

A light marine layer or "June gloom" blankets the valley beyond.
